Dr. Carolyn Boyd, Invited Speaker at Longwood Gardens SymposiumOn Friday, March 10, 2006, Dr. Carolyn E. Boyd, Executive Director of Shumla School, gave a well-received presentation during a symposium held in conjunction with Longwood Gardens' Centennial Celebration. This symposium, Public Horticulture Matters: Connecting Purpose and Presence with Future Perspectives featured thought-provoking speakers sharing ideas that connect public horticulture to individuals and communities through leadership, design, and education. Dr. Boyd addressed how organizations can further their mission and communicate their values to a society in continuous change during her talk, titled SHUMLA School: Meeting a Diverse Community at its Point of Need. |
