Shumla School Board President Elton Prewitt receives a certificate of appreciation for his 10 years of service at the January 2006 meeting of the Antiquities Advisory Board (AAB) of the Texas Historical Commission (THC). He served as the vice-chair of the AAB for eight years. To the left is Larry Oakes, Executive Director of the THC, and to the right is Eileen Johnson, AAB chair. The October 2005 meeting was the final in Mr. Prewitt's term.
