The Bookhouse

Learn more about the entire SHUMLA School campus.
A multi-service center, the "Bookhouse" includes two bungalows for visiting scholars, a library, and a multipurpose room that can be used as dormitory, dining hall, or conference room. The library and multipurpose room can also be used as classrooms. Funding for this building began with contributions honoring Jody Boyd, mother of Executive Director Dr. Carolyn Boyd. Additional contributions have been made by friends and families in honor of a number of remarkable women. Although officially known as the "Bookhouse," this structure is affectionately known as "Moms' Place." This building is located at the SHUMLA School campus, between the Pavilion and the Restroom/Shower House.
