Project Based on Shumla School Experience Wins Regional Science Fair

On February 12, 2004, the 8th Annual Regional Science Fair 2003–2004, co-sponsored by the San Felipe Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District and the International Good Neighbor Council, drew hundreds of viewers and participants alike to the Del Rio Civic Center. One-hundred and eighty-three projects were displayed; 121 projects were submitted by the elementary schools with secondary schools submitting 62. Participating schools were San Felipe Del RIO CISD, Brackett ISD, The Little Schoolhouse, Sacred Heart Catholic School and St. James Episcopal School. Cole Perry, St. James, received the highest number of awarded points in the Earth Science division. He received a trophy and a ribbon. The title of Cole's project was "Cave Paint." Congratulations Cole!
