The Bank and Trust, Del Rio
Appreciation Day

On Saturday, March 3, 2007 employees of The Bank and Trust in Del Rio, and their families traveled 50 miles to SHUMLA's campus for a day of fun and learning.  By the end of the evening about 50 people had made the journey and were rewarded with activities such as atlatl throwing, making music with primitive instruments, friction fire starting, paint making, a stream table, cordage and stone tool manufacture, a mythology play and star gazing.  On top of that, they had an incredible barbeque-brisket dinner, which ended with two cakes!

Everyone learned about primitive life in the Lower Pecos and had a great time as well!!
