Pecos Experience: The Art and Archeology of the Lower Pecos

9:00 a.m. –
3:30 p.m. |
Travel by boat to either Panther or Parida Cave, both located on Lake Amistad. Panther Cave tour lead by Drs. Boyd and Clottes, discussing the local rock art and its interpretation. Tour in Parida Cave lead by Elton Prewitt, discussing the rock art in that shelter and archeology of the Lower Pecos Region. Half-way through the time period the groups switch locations to visit both sites. Lunch onsite.

Open the earth oven with Dr. Dering and sample desert delicacies that had been cooking since Sunday evening.
