SHUMLA is actively engaged in international and national research projects that involve the study of the human use of materials, land, and art. In an effort to facilitate further research, the SHUMLA campus serves as a base of operations for international and national researchers conducting studies in the region. Since 1998, SHUMLA has served over 10,000 adults and children through museum exhibits, educational camps for youth and adults, teacher training programs, public lectures and demonstrations.
